1. Agreement
By accessing or using Pawseen (the website at www.pawseen.com, the Pawseen mobile application, or the Pawseen SMS reporting service), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Pawseen is operated by Pawseen Pvt. Ltd., a private company registered in Nepal.
2. What Pawseen is (and is not)
Pawseen is a technology platform that connects reporters, volunteers, partner shelters, adopters, and sponsors. We build and operate the tools. We are not a shelter. We are not a charity. We do not provide veterinary care. We do not hold donation funds. All rescue, medical, and adoption services are provided by our verified partner organisations.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your contact details current
- You are responsible for activity under your account
- One person, one account. No bots, no automation without our written permission
4. Rescue reports
When you submit a rescue report, you confirm that:
- You have personally observed the situation described
- The photographs you upload were taken by you or you have the right to share them
- You are not knowingly submitting a false or duplicate report
- You grant Pawseen and the receiving partner shelter a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the report and photos to coordinate and document the rescue
Reports found to be malicious or repeatedly false may result in account suspension.
5. Volunteer dispatch
Volunteers operate under their own judgment and at their own risk. Before your first dispatch, you must:
- Complete the in-app safety module (approximately 45 minutes)
- Sign a liability waiver
- Confirm current rabies vaccination status where relevant
Pawseen is not liable for injuries, medical expenses, or property damage sustained during volunteer activity. Partner shelters carry their own volunteer insurance where applicable. If you are unsure whether you are covered, ask before you dispatch.
If you are bitten, stop all other activity and seek post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) at the nearest hospital immediately.
6. Adoption
Adoption is a lifetime commitment. By submitting an adoption application through Pawseen, you agree to:
- Provide the dog with food, water, shelter, and veterinary care
- Not rehome, sell, or abandon the dog without notifying the partner shelter
- Permit a reasonable follow-up visit by shelter staff within the first year
- Return the dog to the partner shelter if you can no longer care for them
The adoption contract itself is between you and the partner shelter. Pawseen facilitates the match but is not a party to that contract.
7. Sponsorship and donations
Sponsorship funds flow directly from you to the partner shelter you select. Pawseen charges a small platform fee to the shelter, not to you. Full details are in our Donation Policy.
8. Content you upload
You retain ownership of photos and text you upload to Pawseen. By uploading, you grant Pawseen a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the platform, documenting rescues, and communicating with sponsors of specific animals.
Do not upload:
- Graphic imagery that serves no rescue purpose
- Content featuring identifiable humans without their consent
- Misleading or staged “rescue” content
- Anything that infringes another party’s copyright
9. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Impersonate another person, shelter, or organisation
- Use Pawseen to harvest personal data on other users
- Interfere with the platform technically (scraping, DDoS, exploits)
- Solicit donations for yourself through the platform
- Breach any Nepali law in your use of Pawseen
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time by writing to hello@pawseen.com.
11. Disclaimer
Pawseen is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that a given report will result in a rescue, that a volunteer will be available, or that a specific dog will be adoptable. We work hard, but we operate in a difficult real-world environment.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nepali law, Pawseen’s total liability to any user for any claim arising out of the platform is limited to the platform fees (if any) that user has paid to Pawseen in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the courts of Kathmandu.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect.
Questions about these terms?
Write to hello@pawseen.com with subject line “Terms”. We will answer like humans, not lawyers.
